cuparjim Posted July 2, 2014 Report Share Posted July 2, 2014 Not meaning to sound all doom and gloom but pretty irrelevant who anybody thinks SHOULD BE the player of the year when it's voted on by referees so not always the "best" player who wins it. Most refs never even bother to put in "man of the match" on the teamsheet anyway unless you pester them to. Over a season you could have 30 games when there has been an absolute stick out player like Jamie probs has been in every game but if refs only bother to put his name on the sheet say 3 times out o 30 games then he could lose out to another "average" player who gets 4 votes from refs over the season. Maybe we should wait till refs actually fill in man of the match on teamsheet after games before we pay them so at least you get a truer decision, or maybe we should let "players" vote? ceejay and methil no8 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
