mikey
Should we or shouldnt we? I dont no where uefa stand on the matter but a playoff at a neutral ground would be the honest thing to do we lost fair and square over 2 legs why shudnt they hav the opportunity to pump us again!i dont think lawell and the rest of them will accept the offer from legia tho
Deasybhoy
Uefa have thrown them out for rule breaking, anyone who thinks we could just offer them the place or uefa would sanction this playoff is mental. I had every sympathy for them but they've lost the plot now.. Dhanny

mikey
It wasnt like the boy came on and changed the game they wer 6-1 up at the time,if this was barca or real madrid wud the same punishment hav been dished out?doubt it! But rules r rules and celtic as a club hav done nothing wrong
Coffee
Don't think it will happen. It's also not celtics decision to make. The owner didn't miss celtic in his interview with sky. Â Personally think the punishment was to harsh. Especially considering that when same thing happend a few years back in Europa league game involving Debrecen, UEFA decided that with them being 4-1 up on agg and with only a few minutes to go, they brought the player on in good faith and only gave them a fine. Deasybhoy
The Debrecen incident was totally different, don't know why people keep referring to it.. One was ineligible,Legia player was suspended, uefa treat them totally differently,it's right there in their rules. Â If his admin staff are crap at paperwork, why's he hassling Celtic? We've done nothing.

Deasybhoy
Doesn't matter,it's a rule they never adhered too. Let them off with it and another team plays a striker who scores a winner, then you've got to let them off too surely? Matter is over and done with,Legia are losing any sympathy they may have had now..
tc83
Tell them to GTF ! To be honest though, it amazes me still that a wee UEFA observer must get a set of team lines prior to kick off and no one checks eligibility to play. I mean it's the Champions League FFS !! mikey
Will legia win their appeal with cas?if they do it wud make a mockery of eufa and their rule book!! Although I think the punishment was severe, they did however break the rules and as stated they forfeit the game 3-0 had they scored 1 of the 2 pens they missed they Wudnt be in this situation!i do fear cas May over rule eufa tho!wud we then have to forfeit the 1st leg of the europa league qualifier due 2 not being able to get to Kazakhstan?the whole thing is a shambles!
