kevinhuskie
Dundonald Bluebell have tonight officially parted company with Colin Downie and his management team of myself, Davie Sheach and Ross Harley. We were informed that this is due to failure to achieve promotion and that the new committee want to bring in their own man. We are very proud of this seasons achievements and we would like to thank all of the players for their efforts.

kevinhuskie
Thanks Berti. Not sure, JC. We said it was a bit crazy when we have two league matches to go and we're in the East of Scotland Cup Semi final still and they said they needed time to find a new manager. I don't know why they didn't wait until the end of the season but that's football.

kevinhuskie
On a serious note, Colin Downie is the best manager that I've ever had the pleasure to work with and any club would be lucky to have him. The football that he had Dundonald playing was tremendous to watch this season and I've never seen a group of players who were so committed to their manager. I hope to work with him again very soon. LANKYBAS
I'm sure the bluebell committe will make a Wyse appointment.
REX
that is a very peculiar decision at this stage of the season, Dundonald would be league champions were it not for an absolutely outstanding season from jeanfield swifts. The fact they are in the east of scotland semi final speaks volumes for the ability of the players and management team, best of luck in your next venture i'm sure a lot of clubs will be very enthusiastic to talk to you

ITFC Jez
Have to say its a strange decision and you only missed out by virtue of their only being 1 place available with some good teams battling for it, with Bluebell a close 2nd. As you say, even stranger considering only 1 League defeat (*cough*) all season Good luck to you, Kevin
Gingernut
I have watched the Bluebell a good few times over the past few seasons and I would say that the current team is as good as the team (I stress team) that won the Central division a few seasons back. Dundonald have had an excellent season in regards to league performances and surely Colin and his management team can take credit from this. Like the previous post stated the only team that stopped them winning the league this year was a superb Jeanfield who in their own right deserve to be league winners. That being said, in my opinion the Bluebell do need a change to freshen things up, although like others not sure that I agree with the timing. As you say, even stranger considering only 1 League defeat (*cough*) all season Good luck to you, Kevin That's by no means a given. If Kinnoull can win they're remaining 4 games (Newburgh twice, Dundonald and Thornton?) then they'll pip Dundonald to 2nd
