scotty mac
Standard seems fairly poor through there, almost all the teams pumped out of the Scottish cup first round?
shaman
Standard seems fairly poor through there, almost all the teams pumped out of the Scottish cup first round? Not really, when you think they played either Highland League or top Junior clubs.
scotty mac
Isn't it the southern equivilent of highland league?
shaman
Isn't it the southern equivilent of highland league? Poles apart.......more money to spend on players & on the whole much better facilities in Highland League. Turriff Utd have magnificent facilities, ie our dressing room on Sat was the largest I've seen, everything about the park & clubhouse was spot on, even their rubbish bins were sponsored. scotty mac
Yeah, I think my mate is on the committee or was anyway at Turriff, Andrew Black, they've been improving their set up for years and sounds like it's worked out well. I was brought up, up north so we were always under the impression the EOS league was our Highland league.

shaman
BURNTISLAND SHIPYARD 1 ORMISTON 0 Cracking free-kick from Hammy. Gray rattles the bar with a header & Hatton thumps a screamer off the post......cannot recall Ormiston troubling Shippy keeper.
