  1. Calm doon. It says it's a pish draw but a chance to get through and Brig will be saying the same thing. Games between us always been very close and both teams will see it as a winnable tie if they're on their game. Would've preferred an away trip outside Fife though.
  2. Society's first choice goalkeeper is moving to New Zealand this week so we're looking to recruit a new one as a matter of priority before the start of the new season. Anyone interested either PM me on here or message the club on Twitter - @SocietyAFC. We're also looking to add two or three outfield players to what is already a decent squad (won a cup and got promoted last season but we're nowhere near the finished article), so if anyone fancies a new challenge with a good bunch of lads, great sponsor and the best post-match feed in Sunday football, get in touch. Cheers Matt

  6. Fact is we weren't good enough to get promoted, but have gone up through the back door cos Kinghorn Hearts folded. We'll probably be everyone's fav's to go down and rightly so but we've shown in glimpses this season that we're a no bad side. Hopefully with a couple of good additions we'll maybe surprise a few people! But it's going to be a tough league for sure.
  7. Yeah more than half our team unavailable, but doesn't matter how many boys we had missing, fact is we were gubbed by a far better side on the day. Congrats.
  8. Thanks for all the congrats messages lads. Been a great day out and think some of the boys are still drinking society dry! We rode our luck first 20 - Lochore striker missed a sitter from rebound off post, and Gong made one of the best saves I've ever seen at this level. That gave gave us the belief that we could do it and in the end we were worthy winners. All the best to Lochore.
  9. Sky 0 Society 3 Genuinely feel for Sky lads. They had both feet in the semis in 1st game when one of their sidelines blew it for them. We made the most of our second chance today, but there was no sour grapes from Sky. They all shook our hands and wished us all the best for semis. Great group of lads who were let down by one. Society goalscorers: Ayi, Doob, Goof
  10. Poor performance from Society today but we ground out the three points. Brilliant penalty save from Gong at 2-1 up with 10 minutes left was the match winning moment. Thanks to Sky lads for great turn out back at Society. Hope you enjoyed the feast!
  11. Got an email from Fiona at the Council. Society game booked for pitch one. Brig game booked for pitch two. Apparently both pitches open this weekend. No royal rumble after all then.
  12. We've doubled checked with Fife Council this morning and KGV is definitely booked out for Society this Sunday at 11am. I can only presume that an extra set of goals have been erected since the weekend? Or maybe all four teams have to play against each other on the one pitch in some kind of football royal rumble??
  13. Referee sorted bear. See you Sunday.
